Today Jared leaves for the MTC. We all said our farewells to him yesterday, and although his sweet, fun spirit will be greatly missed around here, we are so proud of his choice to serve a mission! This picture is of him opening his mission call letter in April. It has been such an exciting couple of months seeing him prepare to go.
So where is he going on his mission? Well, Elsa said when first asked "It starts with an E, is close to Italy, and not too far from Pennsylvania!" Hmm. Let's see, that would be Richmond Virginia, of course!

No, he can't be that old. How to stop time? Congrats on your new missionary. My oldest has less than a year and it's driving me nuts.
Hope you have a wonderful enchanting fairy day!
Soooo, I guess I should have clarified. Although I would love to claim him as my very own son, he's actually my eldest daughter Jill's boyfriend :-)He has truly become part of the family the last few months! Of course, having him leave on his mission already has me weeping for my own boy - only 6 more years, lol! How to stop time, indeed!
Ha,ha! That's so funny! Jill has been lucky to have him be part of her life and I think Jared has been lucky too! Not your typical teenagers! I think anyone would like to claim either of them for their own! Can't wait to see what the future holds for those two!
