Isn't this a sweet bonnet? Elsa wore it all over the antique store, and how could I resist? The vintage blouse is seeing lots of summer action. It's made of the lightest batiste, hand embroidered with colorful summer flowers...
Paired with linen pants it's the perfect late summer outfit.

Our beautiful peach trees surprised us with a bountiful harvest this year. Late summer peaches aren't actually ideal here in the desert, but these are really thriving. When we first moved in to our house we considered taking them out and replacing them with early peaches. The trees were very small then, and when the peaches ripened, well, there were just enough for the birds and bugs, and none for us! We didn't do it though, and now are so glad...
Your last few days of summer look wonderful:)

Hello my friend
ReplyDeleteI marvel how we are both enjoying hot days~ Spring here feels like the middle of Summer. Lazy days, strolls and peaches is what I am most looking forward too. I spent today making a mobile for Spring Equinox. That happens for us this week. I intend spending that meal under my beautiful courtyard tree. My sweetpeas are smelling like heaven. Little Elsa looks so incredibly sweet Beth. I can imagine she has had a lovely time wearing her blouse and bonnet.
I hope you are all well Beth.
Have a happy week~
Lots of love
Suzanne

I am always so impressed by the magic that you can get out of your parcel of land there! Your peaches look divine!
ReplyDeleteOh, Beth! The bonnet is gorgeous! I certainly would not have refused it either! : ) What a beautiful day, I can imagine the scent of peaches hanging from the tree while relaxing in your hammock was incredible! (I love that your hammock is under a peach tree and ours under the apple tree) : ) Enjoy this new season xo
ReplyDeleteHow could you resist indeed! That is so wonderful that she appreciates such finery. Mmmm... I want to eat a peach in that hammock...
